About Josh

Josh started playing guitar when he was just eight years old.

Believe it or not, he actually wanted to play the drums instead! His mum set him on the right path and insisted he start with guitar and after one year, if he was still adamant on drums, he could switch. As you can predict, after the one year, he chose guitar and that paved the path for his career. 

Like any child, he wanted to give up so many times. However his mum came in and saved the day once again and brought him to where he is today. His mum would send him into his room and make him practice for a whole hour! He cursed her for this, but eventually he could do chord changes without thinking about it, and just like that Josh was able to become fluent in his artistry. 

This was just the beginning in his journey.

Years had passed and within them were Josh joining numerous bands, school music groups and a growing talent. He was that kid who spent his lunch in the music room surrounded by beautiful music and notes, than on the muddy footy field. 

When the time came his mum invited him to do a recording session in a studio. When he listened to the final mixed recording, he recalled cringing at the sound of it. He thought that it could have been improved. What do you think an aspiring and dedicated artist would do?

Josh brought a cheap interface, spent $300 on a DAW and did not give up. Even for a second. Even though he had no idea what he was doing, his resilience persevered. He recorded the exact same song and this time the sound was perfection! Who would have thought he did that in his own bedroom? By himself? 

Josh realised this was his true calling in life. He wanted to be able to pass on his knowledge and talent onto the next aspiring artist.
